Brittany Mahomes and NFL 'WAGs' take over SI Swimsuit cover ahead of Super Bowl

Move over draft night. This time, the picks came in beachwear. Brittany Mahomes and a squad of NFL wives and girlfriends (a.k.a WAGs) just took over the digital cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, and they brought a message with the bikinis.

Joining Mahomes were Normani, Haley Cavinder, Claire Kittle, Christen Goff and Ronika Love, all rocking black swimsuits for a glam shoot at South Seas resort in Fort Myers.

The issue dropped ahead of Super Bowl Sunday, and the vibes are very clear: these women are more than just someone's plus-one.

"We drafted our SI Swimsuit Digital Cover Stars and the results are in," SI teased with a behind-the-scenes video. It felt like a WAG-themed combine, minus the bench press.

So, who's on the cover? Let's take a look:

  • Brittany Mahomes, mom of three and certified trainer, wife of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes.

  • Normani, 10x platinum pop star and fiancée of Steelers WR DK Metcalf.

  • Haley Cavinder, ex-Miami hoops star turned influencer, engaged to Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson.

  • Claire Kittle, married to 49ers TE George Kittle and repping "Tight End University."

  • Christen Goff, seven-time SI vet and wife of Lions QB Jared Goff.

  • Ronika Love, pro volleyball player and wife of Packers QB Jordan Love — also currently pregnant.

Each woman brought her own spin to the WAG label. And they weren't shy about wanting to flip the narrative.

"I think being the significant other to an NFL player is an incredibly hard role," Mahomes said. "We take on a lot behind the scenes. But we also get to enjoy life and do things we love too."

Ronika Love, who played three years of pro volleyball, echoed that sentiment.

"It was hard to never be referred to as an athlete myself," she said. "He's a husband and boyfriend too. He's a HAB."

Love's also expecting a baby girl this spring, and posed proudly with her bump.

"There's so much power in being a woman and growing a human, but like, looking sexy on the beach," she said.

Cavinder, who retired from basketball after 2025 to build her brand, said she's done apologizing for chasing her own goals.

"You can support someone and be their number one fan, but also stay true to yourself and chase your dreams," she said. "That's what WAG means to me."

Kittle, a former Iowa basketball player, called the experience full circle.

"In college, my husband was on the cover of Sports Illustrated for football. Now I get to have one too," she said.

For Goff, it's about impact.

"I think all of us do a good job representing ourselves, our husbands and the NFL in general," she said. "That's how you change the narrative — lead by example."
