Peyton Manning is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, despite his postseason struggles this past season. The Denver Broncos should be a competitor to win the AFC this season, and the main reason why they would be is because of Manning.

Flashback to when Manning was a free agent, Manning was interested in playing for the Houston Texans, but the team wasn't interested in him. Well, reportedly the team tried to trade for Manning this offseason. According to Benjamin Allbright of 94.1 FM in Denver, the Broncos tried to trade Manning to Houston during the offseason. His info was obtained through "unrelated official sources." He said that some members in the Broncos organization wanted the Brock Osweiler era to begin this season.
Shortly after the report was published, the Broncos quickly shot down the report on Twitter.
"The speculation is false, and your report is inaccurate," Broncos spokesman Patrick Smyth said on Twitter, in response to a tweet from Allbright regarding the report.
It should be noted that Manning added a no-trade clause to a contract for this season. Even if the report is not true, it just seems weird to me that Manning would request a no-trade clause.
