Justin Jefferson Gets Honest About Chase, Burrow Connection

Despite a lackluster season to this point, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has quickly become one of the more highly-touted names in the NFL. But he was a star dating back to his college days. Before he arrived in Cincinnati, Burrow was the star quarterback for the LSU Tigers. He was the catalyst of their 15-0 record and an NCAA National Championship in 2019.

But that LSU Tigers team was loaded with NFL-level talent, including his two favorite targets, Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase. All three LSU stars were selected in the 2019 NFL Draft. Jefferson and Burrow were among the most coveted players in the draft so they came off the board early. Luckily for the Bengals, Chase was not as highly touted, so they were able to draft him in the later rounds, reuniting the two former LSU stars, Burrow and Chase, in Cincinnati.

Jefferson says that he is happy to see his former teammates continuing their journey together. However, he admits to being slightly jealous.

"I love them together, I love the chemistry that they have with each other, but it's definitely some jealousy on that side," Jefferson said.
