Kevin Stefanski Says He'll Continue To Start Deshaun Watson, Who Continues To Resemble Worst QB In Browns History

It's safe to say the Deshaun Watson acquisition may have been the biggest bust in an incredibly long line of them for the Cleveland Browns. But hey, coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters on Sunday that Watson isn't going anywhere. He will continue to start.

The Browns are a general laughingstock in the NFL — at least, they have been since their return in 1999. Their revolving door of QBs has been their biggest downfall. Last year, they finally had one who looked like he could take them places and served as an adult in the locker room. The entire team rallied around him. Then the Browns decided to let Joe Flacco walk so they could go to bat with Watson and new backup Jameis Winston.

And you know things are bad when fans are begging for Winston. That's because he's not Watson. And these days in Cleveland, that's all it takes. Just don't be Watson.

How bad is it? Well, there are 32 starting quarterbacks in the NFL. Watson is ranked 33rd. No, seriously. Even at least one backup is a better starter than Watson.

He can't throw, he can't run, he can't seem to even see starting receivers. Other than all that, things are great.

Now, granted, you don't go 1-4 and get blown out of the stadium by the Washington Commanders — as the Browns have done — based on your QB alone. But he sure hasn't helped matters. He's made them considerably worse. The Browns were expected to be at least a playoff contender. They instead look like an expansion team — again.

The Browns' big trade for Watson, to this point, may have been the worst one in league history. It's created an organization-wide meltdown. Other than all that, things are great.
