Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett is tired of being a loser. Well, Garrett isn't actually a loser — but the Browns sure were this past season.

Recently, Garrett said enough is enough, requesting a trade in a heartfelt statement. He addressed that statement during an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show.
"I just want to go to a contender," Garrett said.
Per Pro Football Talk: "Garrett said he spoke to people from the team multiple times and that he doesn't think they were blindsided by his feeling that they were not 'aligned on where the team is going in the near future.' Garrett said he knows he doesn't have 'much say in where I go,' but made it clear where he'd like to wind up."
In other words, just me someplace that has a chance. The Browns once did, but took a big step backward this past season, as the Deshaun Watson quarterback experiment has continued to be a colossal failure.
Meanwhile, the Browns contend that they won't trade Garrett. They declined to say what they'll do should he stick to his current stance.
From the sounds of things, he will. After all, he told Eisen that he's "sure people are calling and hopefully making some tempting offers."
Without a doubt, people are calling. Whether the Browns like the offer ... well, who knows? They'd be silly not to listen and demand even more.
If Garrett wants to move on — and understandably so — the Browns should use it as an opportunity to add talent and draft picks. Otherwise, they may want to talk him into staying with perhaps promises of a quick turnaround. Sometimes in the NFL, that can happen.
