Browns rookie Shedeur Sanders hit with $200K home burglary during NFL debut

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders had more than a rough debut on Sunday. While he was making his first NFL appearance against the Ravens, three masked suspects were breaking into his Ohio home and stealing roughly $200,000 worth of property, according to a statement provided to TMZ Sports.

Police say the intruders entered the residence at 6:46 p.m., moving through several parts of the home while wearing masks and gloves. Surveillance cameras captured the entire path.

Authorities say the trio left at 6:58 p.m. with "various property belonging to Mr. Sanders." No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.

The timing couldn't have been worse for the Browns rookie. Sanders was thrown into action after starter Dillon Gabriel exited with a concussion, and the former Colorado standout struggled in the 23-16 loss. He finished 4-of-16 for 47 yards and admitted afterward that he didn't play well.

"I don't think I played good. I don't think I played good at all," Sanders told reporters.

He pointed out that he hadn't even thrown a route to Jerry Jeudy this year until Sunday.

"Overall we just got to go next week and understand, so then we have a week to prepare stuff I like to do," he added.

Now Sanders has to deal with a break-in on top of preparing for what could be his first NFL start. With Gabriel still in concussion protocol, Sanders is in line to be under center Sunday against the Raiders.
