Browns Rookie Mike Hall Jr. Arrested After Domestic Dispute

Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. was arrested following an alleged domestic dispute involving his girlfriend, according to reports.

The Browns released a statement saying they're aware of the situation. Hall was selected in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. Per reports, he was arrested in Avon, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland.

"The mother of Hall's girlfriend called Avon police around 10 p.m. to report the disturbance involving Hall and her daughter, who told police she's his fiancee, according to the police report," wrote Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

The Browns merely stated they were gathering more info.

"We are aware of the incident involving Mike Hall, Jr. last night," the team statement read. "Mike and his representatives have been in touch with the appropriate authorities. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this time."

Per CBS Sports: "The 21-year-old was selected with the No. 54 overall pick after recording 29 pressures for the Buckeyes last season, which ranked second-most among Big Ten defensive tackles. Hall was a two-time third-team All-Big Ten player who was also tied in having the highest PFF pass-rush grade (84.8) among Big Ten defensive tackles in 2023."

Hall recorded one tackle in the Browns' preseason loss to the Green Bay Packers last weekend. He is listed behind fellow defensive linemen Shelby Harris and Quinton Jefferson on the Browns' unofficial depth chart.

Hall grew up in Northeast Ohio before joining the Buckeyes, and ultimately, the Browns.
