Mike Evans Makes History vs. Ravens
In the first quarter, Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield found Evans in the back of the endzone to draw first blood. That touchdown catch was significant as it made Evans just the ninth player in NFL history to notch 100 or more touchdown catches. Evans joins an elite list that features Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Marvin Harrison Cris Carter, Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Largent, and Tim Brown.
After Evans made history, fans praised him on social media.
"First Ballot Hall of Famer," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"That's not a very long list," another user added.
Longhorns Plant Their Flag Through Baker Mayfield Jersey
The Texas Longhorns defeated the Sooners easily in the 2024 Red River Rivalry game via a 34-3 blowout. And after the game Texas showed why the rivalry between them and Oklahoma is one of the most bitter modern-day sports feuds. After the final whistle had blown, the Longhorns took the jersey of former Sooners star and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, Baker Mayfield at midfield and planted their flag through it.
As usual, the viral moment led to several reactions from fans on social media.
"Still salty Baker cooked them 6 years ago," one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, adding a significant amount of clown emojis.
"Mayfield hasn't played CFB since 2017 this is lame asf," another fan added.
The Longhorns' gesture seemed to be in response to Mayfield planting the flag on the midfield Texas logo after the Sooners defeated them in the 2017 Red Rivalry game.
