That's what everyone is taking note of in Budweiser's new Super Bowl LVIII commercial that celebrates the "old school way."
The iconic horses are returning for the first time since 2021, as the beer brand decided to go back to their roots after a tough year. Bud Light faced backlash for a social media partnership with trans woman Dylan Mulvaney, which set off a transphobic boycott and cost the company nearly $400 million in 2023.
The commercial shows the Clydesdales and a Labrador Retriever teaming up to make an "old school" delivery of Budweiser to a bar when the roads are shutdown due to a winter storm. Then the words "delivering since 1876" flash across the screen before the ad ends with the dog licking the horse.
We're barely even in February and Budweiser is already the favorite for best Super Bowl commercial. This should serve as a reminder to all brands: You can't go wrong with adorable animals.
Budweiser's iconic horses were first used in a Super Bowl commercial in 1975 and have remained a fan favorite ever since. They'll hit the big screen Feb. 11 during Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
