CJ Stroud in Tears After Tank Dell Goes Down

With 11:40 remaining in the third quarter, Texans wide receiver Tank Dell caught a potential game-tying touchdown and as he went to the ground, injured his knee and had to be carted on the field.

Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud was visibly emotional, on the field in tears after watching the play.

Texans Demeco Ryans Gets Honest on Stefon Diggs Injury

The Texans made it to the divisional round last year, where they ultimately lost to the Baltimore Ravens. But after making several key offseason additions, some thought that they could be Super Bowl-bound, even in a loaded AFC. One of those key additions was star wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, who they acquired from the Buffalo Bills.

But unfortunately, Diggs tore his ACL early in the year and has been officially ruled out for the season. And although they sit atop the AFC South with a record of 9-5, head coach Demeco Ryans says that Diggs being ruled out for the season is still a "blow," to the team.

"It's definitely a blow to us. He's been such an important part of our team, everything he brought, not only on the field but off the field - the energy, the leadership, the way he worked every day," Ryans said.

"Speaking to him, it's like anybody would be, it's tough news to hear, especially with how much he pours into it," Ryans said. "That's (a) guy that gave his all to everything we asked him to do. He's hurting, of course, and we're hurting for him."

Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud expressed the same empathy for Diggs.

"I really feel bad for him. He's worked extremely hard. I think he was having one of the best times he's ever had on a team - at least that's what he told us. I'm praying for him and hoping he keeps his head up high and he'll bounce back even stronger," Stroud added.
