CBS is getting ready for the NFL season with some serious star power.

The network announced Thursday that it will debut "America's Tailgate on CBS," a new two-hour special celebrating the start of football season, on Labor Day, Sept. 7.
Nate Burleson will host the special alongside CBS Sports' Melanie Collins, with the event airing from 8-10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
The celebration will originate from Nashville and feature performances from John Legend, Sheryl Crow, Chase Rice and Gabby Barrett.
NFL MVP Josh Allen, who also serves as an executive producer of the special, is scheduled to make an appearance. "The NFL Today" personalities Kyle Long and Russell Wilson will also be featured, while comedian Whitney Cummings will serve as a correspondent.
CBS says the event is designed to combine football, music, food and the traditional tailgate atmosphere ahead of the NFL's opening week.
"The best thing about summer ending is football starting," Paramount Sports Entertainment and Skydance Sports president Jesse Sisgold said in announcing the event.
Chef Keith Corbin will be featured in outdoor cooking segments, while Canadian flag football gold medalists Sara Parker and Caro Moquin-Joubert will participate in skills challenges.
The special will also spotlight NFL superfans from around the country.
"America's Tailgate on CBS" will be available live to Paramount+ Premium subscribers and on demand for Essential subscribers beginning the following day.
