Charles "Peanut" Tillman is trading in his cleats for a career in law enforcement.
Tillman recent began training to join the FBI, according to the Chicago Tribune's high-ranking law enforcement source.
Tillman retired from the NFL after signing a one-day contract with the Chicago Bears in July 2016.
He was a former two-time Pro Bowler and Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2013. He joined FOX's kickoff show last year before aiming for the FBI.
According to the report, FBI guidelines require candidates to be over 23 years old and younger than 37. Tillman turns 37 in February.
Tillman earned a degree in criminal justice before he was drafted by the Bears in 2003.
