A serious allegation is now hanging over one of the NFL's young stars. Dacoda Nichole Jones, the ex-girlfriend of Rashee Rice, has filed a lawsuit in Dallas accusing the Kansas City Chiefs receiver of repeated physical abuse during their relationship. The filing was first obtained by TMZ Sports.

According to the lawsuit, Jones alleges Rice choked, strangled, scratched, hit, and headbutted her multiple times between December 2023 and July 2025.
She claims much of the alleged abuse occurred while she was pregnant and resulted in bleeding, swelling, bruising, and injuries to her neck, face, arms, legs, chest, and shoulder.
Jones and Rice share two children.
The lawsuit also alleges other violent behavior, including throwing objects, punching walls, and breaking furniture. Jones is seeking damages exceeding $1 million, though no exact figure is specified in the filing.
The allegations surfaced publicly last month when Jones posted on Instagram that she had endured years of abuse and was "tired of protecting his image." That account has since been deleted.
In the post, she shared photos of bruises and scratches and claimed she was locked outside in the cold while pregnant and later abandoned with her children.
The Chiefs released a brief statement saying the organization is aware of the situation and is in communication with the league. The NFL has opened an investigation under its Personal Conduct Policy, which remains ongoing.
Rice has not publicly responded to the lawsuit.
The case adds to an already complicated off field history for Rice, who previously pleaded guilty in a separate Dallas crash case and served a league suspension related to that incident.
