Chip Kelly unhappy with cheap shot on Sam Bradford

Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs should not have received a penalty for hitting Sam Bradford on a running play on Saturday, officials said, but Eagles coach Chip Kelly adamantly disagrees.

On Monday, NFL head officiate Dean Blandino said that the a flag shouldn't have been thrown, explaining that if the play was a read-option, then Bradford is a runner and liable to get hit. Coach Kelly argued that the play was a hand-off, not a read-option, therefore Bradford should not have been hit

"It was just a handoff," Kelly said. "Not every shotgun run is a zone-read play. We didn't run any zone-reads. We don't run as much zone-read as everyone thinks we do. I thought the interpretation on the field was correct."

Kelly clearly wasn't happy about the revised call but went on to say that he didn't think the hit was intentional, though some of his players disagree. Bradford told reporters after the game that he thought Suggs intentionally went for his knees.
