Seven-year NFL veteran's career may be over after his latest run-in with the law

At 31 years old, it would be a shock to see him return to the league. 

Former NFL safety Chris Clemons has been found guilty of misdemeanor assault intentionally causing physical injury for assaulting a woman outside an Arizona nightclub, per TMZ. According to the report, he knocked the woman out cold after she got into an altercation with his female companions.

Clemons faced up to six months in jail, but was given a 10-day sentence. Five of those days have been suspended, so he'll be locked up for five days. He also must pay $30,000 in restitution, must enroll in anger management and will be on probation.

Clemons is a seven-year NFL veteran. He has played for the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals over his career.

He was cut from the Cardinals back in September. At 31 years old, it would be a shock to see him return to the league.
