Cincinnati Bengals Fans Are Ripping Cam Taylor-Britt After His Commanders Diss Backfires

Sometimes, it's best to keep your comments to yourself. Cam Taylor-Britt and the Cincinnati Bengals found that out the hard way following their Monday Night Football loss to the Washington Commanders.

Ahead of the primetime matchup, Taylor-Britt criticized the Commanders for their "really simple" offense in which he also referred to their scheme as a "nice college offense." This was a direct shot at rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, who had yet to throw a passing touchdown in the season's first two games.

Taylor-Britt and the rest of the Bengals defense quickly realized that this wasn't the case as Daniels and company rattled off 38 points as Daniels went 21-for-23 for 254 yards and two touchdowns. He added another 39 yards and a score on the ground. Terry McLaurin also had his first 100-yard game of the season while both running backs, Brian Robinson and Austin Ekeler, found the endzone as Washington moved to 2-1.

For Cincinnati, they fall to 0-3 and left reeling as their season hangs by a thread. After the game, Taylor-Britt said he's fine eating his own words, "We did take an L." His head coach, Zac Taylor, also wasn't pleased with the pregame comments made by the defensive back.

Neither were the fans, who blasted him on social media.

"Respectfully, Cam Taylor-Britt needs to stop giving bulletin board material every week, too," one X user wrote.

Another X account added, "Cam Taylor-Britt really said Kliff [Kingsbury] runs a college offense then Kliff proceeded to get [offensive lineman] Trent Scott a TD."

Fans of the Carolina Panthers, who next play the Bengals, are even poking Cam Taylor-Britt to talk bad about their team in hopes that it adds some more fuel to their team. One Carolina fan wrote, "I just need Cam Taylor-Britt to talk bad about Andy Dalton and Diontae Johnson this week."

The Cincinnati Bengals are left in a deep hole early in the season. It's a position that they have clawed out of before, but it won't be easy even with that experience. They're already three games back of the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the other two AFC North teams only have one win apiece. Cincinnati will look to get on a winning streak as soon as next week when they visit the Panthers, followed by a big division matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.
