After the Dallas Cowboys lost Tony Romo to a broken clavicle last season, Jerry Jones' squad dropped 11 of 12 contests with Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassel and Kellen Moore taking over the starting spot.

Romo is reportedly in the best shape he's been in, but Moore's broken fibula brings a spotlight to the Cowboys' lack of depth at quarterback behind the oft-injured veteran.
After missing out on Nick Foles in free agency, Jones might be done looking for other reserve quarterbacks with rookie Dak Prescott and second-year player Jameill Showers holding down that spot, per the Star Telegram.
"I'm more encouraged after this about holding our pat hand on a veteran than before this," Jones told the Star-Telegram. "As we go along and if we continue to see this kind of improvement and this kind of instinctive play, I can really get comfortable back there.
"Both of those guys played well. It was what you wanted to see. They looked comfortable and they reacted well when you got a little pressure. It was a good outing. It was good for everyone to see. To me that was one of the pluses."
With tight end Jason Witten nearing the end of his career, wideout Dez Bryant in the peak of his career and the defense holding already starting to fall apart, Dallas can't afford another botched season.
There aren't plenty of options, but not doing due diligence when it comes to veterans like Michael Vick and Josh McCown could come back to bite the Cowboys if (or when) Romo goes down.
