Micah Parsons is coming back to Dallas on Sunday, but don't expect the Cowboys to roll out the red carpet.

The star pass-rusher spent four seasons with the Cowboys, racking up 52.5 sacks and cementing himself as one of the NFL's most feared defensive players before a blockbuster trade sent him to the Packers just days before the 2025 season kicked off.
Parsons has wasted no time making his presence felt in Green Bay, already turning heads in his debut as the Packers knocked off Washington. Fans at Lambeau Field even chanted "thank you Jerry," a shot at Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for letting one of the league's top defenders go.
So, will Dallas at least recognize Parsons when he makes his return to AT&T Stadium this weekend? Not according to Jones.
"I don't think that's appropriate this way," Jones told reporters Monday, via The Athletic's Jon Machota. "Emmitt [Smith coming back] was a different story. But that's not to diminish Micah. I think Micah's got enough welcome out there. We just need to show we've got antidotes for that."
Smith, of course, spent 13 years with Dallas, won three Super Bowls, and set the NFL's all-time rushing record before finishing his career with Arizona. Parsons, while dominant, left under very different circumstances — traded for two first-round picks and veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark in a move Jones insists was made to maximize the Cowboys' championship window around Dak Prescott.
Whether Dallas truly has "antidotes" for Parsons remains to be seen. The Packers' new star will take the field Sunday against his former team for the first time, and you can bet all eyes will be on him.
