The Dallas Cowboys, once again, fell short of the postseason in 2025, notching a record of 7-10. And although the Cowboys dealt with a slew of injuries throughout the course of the season, it was apparent that a change needed to occur.

Jerry Jones' Response to Fans Makes Social Media Erupt
Cowboys fans haven't been pleased for years, as their continues to be one of the biggest disappointments year-in and year-out. When asked about the disdain that many fans currently have toward the direction of the organization, Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones had an .... interesting answer.
"There's a very low percentage of this that is smiles and GLORY HOLES. Very low percentage," Jones told reporters on Monday.
No way: Jerry Jones on how the reaction of #Cowboys fans makes him feel:
"There's a very low percentage of this that is smiles and GLORY HOLES. Very low percentage."

The only thing more interesting than Jones' response, was the reactions to the quote on social media.
"What the f**k is he talking about?" one confused said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"I was gonna say CTE but I just think he's mentally challenged," another person added.
Brian Schottenheimer Introduced as Cowboys Head Coach
With a chance for a fresh start, Cowboys fans were hoping to get one of the more coveted coaches during this hiring cycle. But instead of landing a Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn, or even Kliff Kingsbury, the Cowboys are nearing a deal to make their offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer their new head man.
The decision to make Schottenheimer the Cowboys' new head coach for many, was a head-scratcher. Especially, because he has no experience as a head coach and the franchise is dying to get back into playoff contention. During Schottenheimer's introductory press conference on Monday, Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones acknowledged that the hiring was a "big risk."
"I know that Shotty is no stranger to these guys (players). I know he's no stranger to this building. I get my proverbial ass kicked over needing people in my comfort zone. Without this thing being about me in any way, if you don't think I can't operate out of my comfort zone, you're so wrong it's unbelievable," Jones said.
"This is as big a risk as you can take. As big a risk as you can take. No head-coaching experience."
