After breaking his clavicle twice during the 2015-16 season, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is reportedly set to undergo surgery this offseason to plate his left clavicle in an attempt to prevent future injuries, per ESPN.
According to the report, Romo is set for a six-to-eight week recovery period.
"I think we know which way we're siding and we've had exhaustive discussions about it," Romo said Saturday of the possibility of surgery, per ESPN. "Really it's just about being there for your teammates. If I play, I know what I mean to our team. I just need to do everything in my power to make sure I'm on the football field."
Romo broke his clavicle back in 2010 as well.
Despite his repeated injuries, Romo reportedly expects to play for another four years.
