Cowboys owner goes out of his way to talk up this player, now it's his job to live up to the hype

Jerry Jones has sky-high expectations thanks to this player.

As the Dallas Cowboys push through training camp full of Super Bowl expectations, Tony Romo is looking to feed off of a strong last year, where he threw nearly a career-high 34 touchdowns and single-digit interceptions (9).

A year after recovering from back surgery, Romo is looking at his best, according to team owner Jerry Jones, per The Dallas Morning News:

"What I'm seeing out here is Tony Romo at his best. I can't remember a time when I thought he was playing any better, looked any better, made me feel any better, made our coaches feel any better as far as his execution and what he needs to do for us to win."

With Dez Bryant, Jason Witten and Joseph Randle all entering the season at close to full strength, there's no doubt this squad has an opportunity to contend after the Cowboys narrowly missed out on advancing past the Divisional round last year.
