The Detroit Lions badly needed a jolt. Dan Campbell supplied it.

Detroit walked into Thursday night looking like a team on the brink and walked out with its season still alive after a 44-30 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Lions are 8-5 now, back in the NFC fight, and their head coach wasted no time setting the tone in the locker room.
Campbell let it rip after the game, firing off a string of strong words while congratulating his players and reminding them the job is far from finished.

It was vintage Campbell. Pure adrenaline. The kind of raw postgame energy that feels ripped straight out of a football documentary. And frankly, the kind of fire Lions fans have been desperate to see again.
Detroit came into the year with Super Bowl expectations. Some thought the Lions were ready to take over the conference. Instead, the season has been a grind. Every mistake has mattered. Every week has felt like a test of whether this group can stay in the race.
Thursday showed they are not folding. That's sort of the way it's gone under Campbell.
The Lions will need that same edge next week when they head to Los Angeles to face the Rams. It will be a dogfight. And after watching Campbell in that locker room, you get the sense Detroit is ready for it.
