Orlovsky shared the news Thursday, saying Lascano died over the weekend. He leaves behind his wife, Christine, and their sons, Brayden, 18, Cameron, 16, and Colton, 11.

"There are no words to describe the heartbreak of losing a husband, a partner, and a father so suddenly," Orlovsky wrote in a post on X.

The former NFL quarterback said his sister now faces raising their children while managing a single-income household and helping the boys cope with their father's death.

Orlovsky shared a GoFundMe fundraiser benefiting the family, asking people to donate or help circulate the link. The money is intended to assist with household expenses and future education costs.

According to the New York Post, the fundraiser had collected more than $65,000 toward its $100,000 goal as of Thursday morning.

"No family should have to face this kind of heartbreak, and no one should have to worry about how they will manage financially while trying to put the pieces of their lives back together," Orlovsky wrote.

Lascano and Christine had been together since college. A cause of death was not disclosed in the report.

Orlovsky joined ESPN in 2018 after retiring from the NFL and regularly appears on "NFL Live," "Get Up" and "
