Current NFL Free Agent DeAngelo Williams didn't hold back when discussing the Dallas Cowboys on a recent edition of Adam Schefter's "Know them from Adam" podcast.

Williams, who is coming off a two-season stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers after spending a majority of his career with the Carolina Panthers, was apparently talking to Schefter about teams that he's crossing off his list as a free agent.
Dallas made that cut, but it wasn't just because Williams doesn't want to play for the Cowboys. He actually had a lot to say about the culture over in Dallas.
He started off by saying that he wants to go somewhere where winning is expected, not just something that fans are surprised and excited about. That brought him to Dallas. Jon Schlosser of All22 Cowboys transcribed Williams' thoughts.
"The Cowboys, they win," Williams explained. "They just don't ever show up during the playoffs, though. They always disappear in the playoffs."
That's a hot take from a player currently in the NFL, and currently looking for a job, but apparently, Williams doesn't care about what the Cowboys think. In fact, according to the way he talked about Dallas fans with Schefter, the running back doesn't care about what fans in the Big D think about him, either.
"I got a great depiction of the Cowboys fan base during the regular season last year," he said. "They were on Cloud 9. You couldn't tell them anything. Anything. Because they were gonna win the [Super Bowl]. That's all they said. Fans just got extremely super annoying. And then, the minute they lose, they either got cheated, somebody was hurt, like, the excuses start flowing. It's just amazing to me. Just, that fan base in general. They can't handle defeat. I mean, still, to this day, they say that the Dez Bryant catch against the Green Bay Packers was a catch."
This is brash talk from a current player, but what would you expect from a now-ex professional wrestler?
Williams, who has been in the league for 11 years now, obviously doesn't care for Dallas, and at this point, the feeling is likely mutual. Considering his talent, athleticism and experience, though, perhaps the running back has the wiggle room to be a bit picky about his free agency options.
He's likely not an every down starter in today's NFL, at least anymore, but considering his speed, athleticism and tough-running ability, Williams can still contribute to an NFL team in a big way in 2017.
Just not Dallas.
