Peterson spent the past 10 years with the Vikings, winning an Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2007 and the league MVP award in 2012.
Peterson rushed for nearly 12,000 yards over his career and had a standout 2,000-yard season in 2012, one year after he tore his ACL.
The Green Bay Packers are the favorites to land Peterson, according to BookMaker.eu. The Packers are +200 for Peterson, and the Vikings are +250 to retain him.
Other teams that have Peterson odds are the New England Patriots (+1000), Oakland Raiders (+1000), New York Giants (+1500) and the Dallas Cowboys (+2500). The field is +120.
Peterson wasn't great last year, rushing for 72 yards over three games and putting up career lows across the board. Whether that was from not having Teddy Bridgewater to take pressure off of the running game or what, AP looked horrendous before suffering what became a season-ending torn meniscus.
