After Peyton Manning's return to the field in the Denver Broncos' Week 17 win over the San Diego Chargers, the team is switching back to the veteran quarterback for their playoff run.

Manning was replaced by Brock Osweiler November 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs with a torn plantar fascia. He wouldn't make another appearance until Sunday's game, when the Broncos trailed 13-7 and Osweiler had completed 14-of-22 passes for one touchdown and two interceptions.
Manning did what was asked of him, completing five of the nine passes he attempted for 69 yards. History doesn't bode well for Manning, but Denver's brass must feel better about the veteran than Osweiler:

With a week before the team's divisional round playoff game, Manning will match up against either the Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs or Pittsburgh Steelers — whichever of the three is the lowest seed.
