Tony Romo's attempt to qualify for the U.S. Open didn't quite work out for him, so he will now turn his attention to his broadcasting career.

FOX Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe said on Undisputed that the reason Romo missed the cut is because he is out of shape, and he also added that Romo never won a Super Bowl because he wasn't in good enough shape.

Sharpe said people still approach him and ask him if he plays football, but he didn't think anyone would ever do that with Romo because he looks out of shape.
He then went on to proclaim that Romo "cheated" his teammates because he didn't get into the best shape possible.
"Tony Romo didn't love it like that," Sharpe said. "If you want to be great you gotta be willing to do what others can't or won't, and sometimes you gotta do both. You gotta pay a price to be great, Skip. And if you're not willing to pay that price, you don't deserve to be successful. Tony Romo didn't deserve to win a Super Bowl.
"You don't get what you deserve. You get what you earn, and he didn't earn it in the offseason."
It's odd to hear Sharpe go after Romo when his playing days are behind him, and it's especially strange to hear Sharpe criticize Romo basically for not qualifying for the U.S. Open.
Romo certainly isn't built like Cam Newton, but to hypothesize the reason he never won a Super Bowl is because he wasn't in the best shape is a bit peculiar.
