DeVante Parker's mother rips Browns, glad her son wasn't picked by them

The Miami Dolphins had to be relieved when the Cleveland Browns chose Danny Shelton and then the Minnesota Vikings selected Trae Waynes. Both of those teams could have selected a receiver, but passed. Miami used its 14th pick to select Louisville WR DeVante Parker.

Parker's mother was really happy that her son wasn't selected by the Browns. She pretty much trashed their entire organization in an interview with Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald.

"We didn't want him going to Cleveland," Raneca Parker said Friday, less than 24 hours after the Dolphins took her son with the 14th pick. "They don't have a team, really, or a quarterback. I knew I didn't want the Cleveland Browns."

Parker's mother was spitting hot fire in this interview. She just criticized everyone in the organization. It's rare to see someone actually tell the truth on how they feel during this draft process. Usually, everyone just says they are happy and move on, but not her.

Cleveland happily obliged by passing on Parker. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the team wasn't sold on Parker's toughness and love of the game. We'll see if passing on him comes back to bite the Browns.
