Crow, 37, was booked early Friday morning in Broward County Jail on one count of touch or strike/battery/domestic violence, per jail records. As of late Friday morning, he remained behind bars.

According to ESPN, police in Fort Lauderdale responded to a domestic disturbance call just after midnight. The alleged victim refused medical treatment and was not seriously injured, but officers arrested Crow after an on-scene investigation.

The Dolphins announced Crow has been placed on immediate administrative leave. "We are aware of the serious matter involving Ryan Crow and currently gathering more information," the team said in a statement. "We have been in communication with the NFL and will reserve further comment at this time."

Crow joined Mike McDaniel's staff in 2024 as the Dolphins' outside linebackers coach after three seasons in the same role with the Tennessee Titans. He began his NFL career in 2018 with Tennessee as a defensive assistant and previously coached in college at Ohio State, Purdue, and Baldwin Wallace.

A former linebacker at Bowling Green, Crow started as a walk-on before earning a scholarship. His coaching rise brought him to Miami just last year. Now his future with the franchise is in serious doubt.

The Dolphins kick off the season a week from Sunday (September 6) with a road game against the Indianapolis Colts.
