Thursday Night Football never seems to be fun for anyone, and that's usually because players are getting injured due to the lack of rest between games.

Just ask Drew Stanton what he feels about Thursday Night Football. Or even better, just look at what the Arizona Cardinals are having to do in free agency because of their past Thursday night game against the Seattle Seahawks. The Cardinals lost 22-16, but in the process suffered an even bigger loss.
Stanton sprained his knee during the game and according to reports, he could now miss a game or two on the sideline healing.
That's terrible news for the Cardinals, who have already lost Carson Palmer to a broken arm, and with Blaine Gabbert taking the reigns in Week 11 if Stanton can't make a quick recovery, Arizona has been forced to add another quarterback to fortify their diminished depth chart at the position.
That quarterback is none other than former USC quarterback Matt Barkley, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Barkley, a former fourth-round pick in the 2013 draft, was a standout with the USC Trojans from 2009-2013, but he's never really found his footing in the NFL, as Tim Daniels of Bleacher Report chronicles:
Meanwhile, Barkley spent the 2015 season in Arizona. He's also made stops with the Niners, Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears since Philly took him in the fourth round of the 2013 draft.
The former USC standout played in seven games, including six starts, for the Bears last season. He racked up 14 picks compared to just eight touchdowns.
The Cardinals are 4-5 and currently third in the NFC West. They play the Texans next weekend on the road.
