Eagles’ Brandon Graham Speaks On A.J. Brown/Jalen Hurts Drama: ‘They Were Friends But Things Have Changed’

The Eagles defeated the Panthers 22-16 on Sunday, but tensions have been boiling over in Philadelphia, as wide receiver A.J. Brown and quarterback Jalen Hurts seemed to be beefing after the team only accounted for 108 yards through the air.

On Monday, Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham spoke about this in front of the media, and his comments definitely shed some light on some drama within the locker room.

It appeared that Graham took his quarterback's side, as he noted, "I know 1 [Hurts] is trying and 11 [Brown] could be better with how he responds to things."

He continued, "They were friends before this, but things have changed... and I understand this as life happens. But it's the business side that we have to make sure that we don't let the personal things get in the way of the business."

"We know its an issue... everyone has seen some things... but we need to be able to talk things out as men."

All in all, considering they currently lead the NFC East with an 11-2 record, things may be blown out of proportion at the moment.

Even so, there were quite a few plays where Hurts seemed to have missed Brown, when he appeared to be wide open. And this is what led to the frustration for the 3x Pro Bowl receiver.

Even with keeping in mind the Eagles are run-heavy offense, led by Saquon Barkley (NFL leader in rush yards- 1623), it is a bit surprising they are ranked second-last in NFL passing yards per game, as the Eagles have an array of weapons, including their WR duo Brown and Devonta Smith.

Considering all the drama in Philly, it has even re-ignited a feud between former players Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens.

As both seemed to have different views regarding the current situation in Philly, Owens brought up previous drama with McNabb:

"I 'never' had an issue with you but it's known that you had an issue with me... We might have won Super 39 but that's another story for another day."

In view of this, Hurts and Brown are attempting to reach yet another Super Bowl together, as they played in one back in 2023 (SB LVII), in which they ultimately came up short to the Chiefs.
