The fans of NFC East teams are not fond of each other, yet many banded together on NFC Championship Sunday for a special purpose. They took part in a chant making fun of the Dallas Cowboys.

A video surfaced on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that showed fans of the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders standing in a large group. They were not yelling at each other, however. They were all chanting "Dallas sucks."

"Always nice to find common ground," one account responded after watching the two rival fanbases joining forces. Many others weighed in. Some called this a "beautiful gathering" while others said that this was just an example of the saying, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."
Fans of the Cowboys, however, did not appreciate the video of the chants. These fans said that the Cowboys "live rent-free" in the minds of Commanders and Eagles fans. One said that the two NFC East teams were playing in a conference championship game but they couldn't take their minds off of the Cowboys.
This chant was not the first time this week that the Eagles and Commanders have been compared to the Cowboys. An earlier example focused on the two quarterbacks of the teams playing in the NFC Championship.
Multiple accounts pointed out an interesting stat in the week leading up to the pivotal playoff game.
Many people said that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels both went through birth, childhood, teenage years, and college years, took part in the NFL Draft, and reached the NFC Championship game before the Dallas Cowboys returned to it.
The last time the Cowboys made the NFC Championship was in 1995, the same season they last won the Super Bowl. The NFC team has not advanced beyond the divisional round since. Hurts was born in 1998. Daniels was born in 2000.
