Saquon Throws Shade at Giants Ahead of Super Bowl
After not wanting to pay Saquon what he wanted in free agency, the Giants let Saquon walk and he joined their tri-state rival, the Philadelphia Eagles. Ahead of the Super Bowl, Saquon poured salt in the wound of his old team.
During the opening night of Super Bowl media availability, free agent quarterback Jameis Winston asked Saquon Barkley which team he thought would him in free agency, and Saquon was quick to reference the fact that the Giants were in the market for a quarterback.

The decision to let Saquon walk has been one that has come back to haunt the Giants. This season Barkley became just one of nine players in NFL history to rush for 2000 yards or more, and this Sunday, the Eagles will play the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. While the 3-14 Giants are hoping to draft another generational talent.
Barkley Reflects on Road to Super Bowl
In just one season with the Eagles, it has been everything that Saquon Barkley could have hoped for. After an MVP-worthy season, he will have the opportunity to capture the first Super Bowl ring of his career.
It has been a long road to the top for Barkley, falling victim to injuries over the years, has grounded his career in a lot of ways. But the Eagles quarterback says the rocky road he has traveled to get here makes it that much sweeter.
"Not just being here but the adversities and the injuries and never quitting. And I still remember that conversation I had with my dad when I was younger and when I almost quit, he said, 'You quit one thing in life, you're going to be a quitter for the rest of your life.' And that's what always stuck with me," Barkley said.
"So I think it'll definitely be proud but also say that the goal is not just to get there and the dream wasn't just to get into Super Bowl. It is to win it."
