Emmitt Smith ended his pro career with the NFL's all-time rushing record at 18,355 yards in 2004, and it doesn't project to be broken any time soon.

For Smith, he thinks Adrian Peterson has the best shot at breaking his record. And if AP doesn't, he has no idea who will.
"If he doesn't get it, I don't know who's going to get it," Smith said, via ESPN. "He's still got a lot of yards to go. I'm not going to lie to you."
According to ESPN, in order to break Smith's record, Peterson would need to rush for 1,670 yards per season if he played four more years. If he plays five more, he'll need to average 1,336 yards a season.
Peterson rushed for 1,485 yards after missing nearly the entire 2014-15 season.
