Former Super Bowl WR shown the door as the latest surprising roster move

Yikes!

Eric Decker, a wideout who has registered at least 1,000 yards receiving in three of the last five seasons and played in Super Bowl XLVIII for the Denver Broncos, is reportedly the latest cut casualty by the New York Jets:

The Jets released fellow NFL veteran David Harris earlier in the day. Darrelle Revis, Nick Folk, Brandon Marshall, Nick Mangold and Calvin Pryor are among the veterans who have been cut or traded this offseason.

The lowly Jets seem destined for a youth movement after the slew of head-scratching roster moves.

With arguably the league's worst quarterback trio in Josh McCown, Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenburg, it would make some sense for the Jets to look ahead to the stacked quarterback class of 2018 and hope, just hope, they don't win enough games to get a draft pick outside of the top 5.
