ESPY Host Serena Williams Takes Shot At NFL Kicker Harrison Butker: 'We Don't Need You'

Former No. 1 ranked tennis star Serena Williams hosted the ESPY award show which aired Thursday night, and it is safe to say she was not shy in holding back voicing her opinion.

While discussing women's sports with her sister Venus Williams on stage, Serena said that everyone was welcome to watch women's sports, except for one person.

"So, go ahead and enjoy women's sports like you would any other sports, because they are sports," Venus said into the microphone.

Then Serena butted in, "Except you, Harrison Butker. We don't need you."

This was re-emphasized by Quinta Brunson, who was also standing on stage.

"At all. Like, ever," Brunson added, which got a reaction from the crowd.

That is to say, for those who don't know, Harrison Butker, the Kansas City Chiefs kicker, recently received public scrutiny after his commencement speech, this past year, where he spoke on his beliefs regarding family structure, while speaking at Benedictine College in Kansas.

"I can tell you that my beautiful wife, Isabelle, would be the first to say that her life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother," the NFL player said.

"It cannot be overstated that all of my success is made possible because a girl I met in band class back in middle school... would become my wife and embrace one of the most important titles of all: homemaker."

Ultimately, the public perception of Butker was that he was limiting gender roles, with his "old traditional faith-based views," which doesn't sit well with many in today's society, including Serena Williams evidently.
