Ezekiel Elliott's appeal for a six-game suspension handed down by the NFL has been heard in full. The Dallas Cowboys running back's fate is now in the hands of Harold Henderson and, while no firm deadline exists from a legal perspective when it comes to his final ruling, Adam Schefter of ESPN brings word that Henderson is "under pressure" to deliver an answer by Monday.
Given that the Cowboys open the 2017 season on Sunday, Sept. 10 against the New York Giants in Arlington, it makes sense that at least the Dallas side of things would love to know the end result by the beginning of next week. It has to be noted that simply putting pressure on does not necessarily dictate Henderson's movements but word breaking in this fashion is probably a good thing for those hoping for a speedy conclusion. Finally, Elliott's suspension could be reduced or even eliminated altogether based on the ruling, leaving many surrounding the franchise (and within Elliott's inner circle) holding their breath.
At this point, the status of Ezekiel Elliott's suspension remains a mystery but fans and onlookers everywhere will know shortly.
