The NFL is still investigating incidents surrounding Dallas Cowboys' running back Ezekiel Elliott, and one member of his camp said the league is treating the star as "Public Enemy No. 1."

It's no secret the NFL and Roger Goodell have handled domestic violence issues poorly in the past, and a recent report from ESPN's Adam Schefter suggested the league wants ensure there are "zero mistakes" in the investigation.
It appears as if Goodell is trying to make an example out of one of the leagues's biggest young stars. Goodell botched the cases of Josh Brown, Ray Rice and Greg Hardy, and he received plenty of negative publicity for how he handled those incidents.
If Elliott is guilty of any kind of domestic violence, expect Goodell to come down with a much harsher punishment for the running back.
