After parting ways with general manager Terry Fontenot and head coach Raheem Morris, Atlanta is searching for a president of football to oversee the rebuild. Former franchise quarterback Matt Ryan is widely viewed as the leading candidate for that role.

Whoever ultimately lands the job, one name is already looming over the head coaching search.

Former Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh is firmly on the Falcons' radar.

Owner Arthur Blank was asked about Harbaugh during his press conference Thursday and did little to tamp down the speculation.

"John has been one of the most successful coaches in the last 20 years in our league," Blank said. "He's won at every level, so he would certainly be a candidate we would want to spend some time with.

Whether or not he would have an interest in Atlanta, I don't know. I read earlier today he's not taking any interviews this week and probably will start this coming week, so I'm sure we'll have him on our cycle, assuming he's willing to take an interview with us."

Harbaugh is expected to draw heavy interest across the league if he chooses to continue coaching in 2026. Over 18 seasons in Baltimore, he compiled a 180-113 regular-season record with a 13-11 mark in the postseason, highlighted by a Super Bowl championship.
