After a slow start to the season, the Atlanta Falcons have emerged as one of the NFL's hottest teams, winning four of their last five games. They went into Week 7, hoping to continue with that same momentum in their matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.

Seahawks Give Kirk Cousins Bloody Injury
The Seahawks' defense is one of the stingiest in the league this year, known for their hard-nosed demeanor. Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins apparently did not get the memo and found out the hard way. After taking a salacious hit from the Seahawks defense in the second half, Cousins was bleeding from his nose.

However, the Falcons quarterback appeared to be okay as he remained in the game.
Pete Carroll Gets Candid About Football Future.
The Seahawks came into this season with a brand-new look. No major shakeups occurred within the infrastructure of the on-field personnel. But they did make a coaching change after moving on from Pete Carroll.
Despite no longer being on the Seahawks' sideline, Carroll still has a role in the organization as an advisor. He is also returning to the classroom to teach at his football alma mater, USC. As for what the future holds, Carroll isn't sure if he'll ever return to the side.
"I could coach tomorrow. I'm physically in the best shape I've been in a long time. I'm ready to do all the activities that I'm doing and feel really good about it. I could [coach] but I'm not desiring it at this point. This isn't the coaching season — we'll see what happens [then]. [But] I'm not waiting on it at all," Carroll said in an interview with the Seattle Times.
"I'm going ahead. I've got other things that I want to do that I'm excited about and I want to see how all that goes. I'm not thinking that I'm holding my breath [to coach], that sort of thing. If it's been 40-something years, 48 years, or whatever coaching and that's it, I feel OK about that."
