Falling down was the Denver Broncos best offense on Sunday

All it took was falling down to get one of the biggest plays of the day.

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos worked their way through a slugfest to meet the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game next weekend.

It took a late push by Manning and Co. to slip past the Steelers and the jolt the Broncos needed came on one key play in the fourth quarter. When the quarterback slipped away from the Pittsburgh defense, it appeared he was down by contact, but Manning got up and found Emmanuel Sanders for a 34-yard gain.

The play eventually set up a deep punt that appeared to be down inside the five-yard line, only to be ruled a touchback. Running back Fitzgerald Toussaint would fumble, the Broncos took over and scored on the ensuing possession to take the lead for good.

These veteran Broncos have seemingly found a way to win all season. We'll see if they have what it takes to beat down Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski next Sunday.
