Fans Erupt After Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes Goes Down With Gruesome Injury vs. Browns

The Kansas City Chiefs have been the best team in the NFL this season sitting on a 12-1 record and atop their division. With the playoffs just around the corner, they look primed for another Super Bowl.

Patrick Mahomes Suffers Brutal Injury vs. Browns

But the Chiefs' title chances appeared to take a major hit during their Week 14 matchup with the Cleveland Browns. In the second half, Chiefs starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes appeared to go down with a leg injury and had to exit the game, being replaced by veteran backup quarterback Carson Wentz.

 

After Mahomes went down, fans weighed in with reactions on social media.

 

"Another fake Mahomes injury. He'll be fine," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

 

"Praying he's ok. He'll be back the next game on his way to his three-peat though," another user added.

 

 

Tom Brady Gets Honest on Chiefs

 

The Kansas City Chiefs came into this season looking to do something no other team has done — with three Super Bowl titles in a row. To this point in the NFL season, they have undoubtedly been the best team in the league sitting atop the AFC West with an undefeated record of 8-0.

 

However, many experts have put Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl chances in limbo. Despite having an unblemished record, there are teams who many believe are simply just more talented than Kansas City (e.g. the Detroit Lions,  and Baltimore Ravens), especially when they have been plagued with big injury losses such as Rashee Rice and Isaiah Pacheco.

 

But even with the Chiefs having a thin roster, NFL Legend Tom Brady still believes they are the Super Bowl favorite.

 

"If you're undefeated, you better believe they're going to stay at the top of my power rankings at number 1," Brady said.

 

"They continue to find ways to win close games. They've got that championship DNA and they've got a new addition. De Andre Hopkins is already looking like a great fit in this offense. Let's see if the Chiefs can stay undefe
