Scott Hanson Seemingly Makes Shocking NFL Redzone Revelation
But in the midst of Sunday afternoon's slate of games fans' excitement quickly turned into anguish. Many fans thought it may have been a glitch when fan-favorite NFL Redzone showed a commercial for the first time ever in Week 15. But at the top of the 1 p.m. slot in Week 16, NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson confirmed the worst.
Hanson usually begins the program every Sunday by announcing that it will be "seven hours of commercial-free football." However, in Week 16 Hanson adjusted that and said that the program would be airing "seven hours of RedZone football."
"From this point forward, it's seven hours of RedZone football." No mention of "commercial-free" from Scott Hanson this week. pic.twitter.com/dnRD3VNa8u

Fans React to Bombshell Announcement
That change was quickly noticed by NFL fans who took to social media to air out their grievances.
"This is just an awful awful day for football now that it's confirmed," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Someone sue them for false advertising this is the stupidest thing Redzone could do," another disgruntled fan added.
"Genuinely disgusting. A multibillion-dollar company can't just be content with their ungodly amounts of money. Gotta ruin the thing everyone enjoys," another fan said.
Many NFL were enamored with the NFL RedZone model because it offered something that other networks didn't. Instead of showing commercials during time outs and game breaks, they would alternate between other games that were currently active, giving fans the opportunity to watch several games at once. But now that Redzone is seemingly no longer commercial-free fans no longer will have that option.
Fans were already fed up with the league coming into the season after it was revealed that they would need several streaming subcriptions to have access to all of the nationally televised games this season. This latest news will only make them more upset.
