Fans Enraged With Cris Collinsworth During Chiefs, Chargers Clash

Despite the high anticipation for this matchup fans got a little sidetracked during the AFC West bout between the Chiefs and Chargers. That was because fans on social media were enraged by the commentary of NBC Sports analyst Cris Collinsworth during the Sunday Night Football telecast.

They took to social media to voice their displeasure.

"Watching #SNF on mute so I don't have to listen to Cris Collinsworth s**b all over Patrick Mahomes for 3 hours," one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Just realized that Cris Collinsworth is calling Chargers vs Chiefs. Unreal Mahomes glaze incoming," another fan added.

Justin Herbert Leading The Charge in the LA Locker Room

After a lackluster 2023 season, the Los Angeles Chargers have returned with a vengeance. Under the leadership of first-year head coach Jim Harbaugh, the Chargers now sit on top of the AFC West with a 7-4 record. With the Chiefs finally dropping their first game of the season to the Buffalo Bills in November, things are starting to take a different shape in the division.

With the Chargers trailing by only three games and a pivotal matchup with the division-leading Chiefs this week, things could get interesting as the season nears its conclusion. In addition, Justin Herbert has looked like a brand-new quarterback under the new Harbaugh regime. He has thrown 13 touchdowns to just one interception this season.

The energy around the Chargers locker room has become positive and it has been infectious as Herbert's teammates are beginning to take notice.

"I feel like everybody's having more fun this year. We've got a good culture going and Justin's definitely the leader of that," Chargers offensive tackle Rashawn Slater told ESPN. "Whenever we see him have that energy, it's very infectious. As long as I've known Justin, he's been the ultimate competitor, but I love that he's been a little more animated."
