Fans Outraged After Gronk Gets His Time Cut Short
It was a disappointing rookie year for Mayo, as the Patriots finished last in the AFC East with a 4-13 record. Not too long after the final whistle was blown in the Patriots Week 18 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, the Patriots fired mayo.
During the Fox NFL Sunday game break, Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski, who is an analyst on the program said he felt that Mayo getting fired was "unfair," and was seemingly about to go scorched earth on Michael Kraft. However, Gronk's co-host Michael Strahan, stopped him and said the show was about to go on commercial break which left fans on social media outraged.
"No. Let him speak. This is a free country with free speech," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Fox colleague Michael Strahan sure shut down Rob Gronkowski just as he was getting revved up on Fox halftime show," another user added.
🚨WOW: FOX CUT OFF ROB GRONKOWSKI RIGHT AS HE WAS STARTING TO RANT ABOUT THE KRAFT FAMILY.

Gronk says it was unfair that they put Jerod Mayo in that situation, and he was extremely angry about the team firing Mayo after one season.

Patriot Legend Shows Love to Brock Bowers
Not many people knew what to expect of the Las Vegas Raiders coming into this season. Despite being one of the hottest teams in the second half of the 2023 season there were a lot of question marks about the squad. Especially after losing their starting quarterback Jimmy Garapolo this offseason.
This season ended up being a dud for the Raiders. They finished the season last in the AFC West with a record of 4-12 and did not qualify for the playoffs.
But despite a disappointing season, there was a lone bright spot for Las Vegas. That being their rookie tight end Brock Bowers. Bowers finished the season with 1104 receiving yards and 108 receptions — the most receptions ever by a rookie tight end.
The Raiders rookie is already turning heads as he has earned praise from Gronkowski.
"The guy's a winner. The guy is a playmaker. Whenever the ball is thrown to him, I love his explosiveness after the catch. And I feel like he's on track to be better than myself," Gronk said.
"I mean, I don't think he can dominate in the trenches the way I dominated in the trenches, but just overall, as a pass-catching tight end, I think he can surpass me in many situations."
