Fans React to Colts Mascot's Viral Dance After Missed Bears Field Goal

One of the matchups that NFL fans had circled for Week 3 was the Indianapolis Colts vs the Chicago Bears. It was a matchup between the number one pick in last year's draft, Caleb Williams, and one of the rookie quarterback standouts from last season, Anthony Richardson. However, despite all of the world-class talent on the field during the game, it was the Colts' mascot, Blue, who stole the show.

Colts Mascot Goes Viral For Missed Field Goal Celebration

Bears' kicker Cairo Santos attempted a 56-yard field goal in the first half of the matchup that would have given his team an early lead. However, Santos whiffed on the kick, which was much to the delight of the Colts Mascot.

The Fox broadcast caught the mascot hitting a viral dance, thrusting his hips in victory. The moment drew tons of fan reactions on Twitter.

"That mascot better keep his distance," one user said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"He's getting fined $15k," another user added.

"Blue is the best mascot," another said.

"One of the funnier mascots in the league," another user said.

Bears OC Gets Candid on Caleb Williams

When the Bears drafted Caleb Williams out of USC with the number one pick, many considered it a move that would forever change their recent string of bad luck. But so far that wish has not come to fruition.

Williams has struggled this season. Coming into Sunday's game against the Colts he had yet to throw a passing touchdown. Bears offensive coordinator Shane Waldron that Williams' offensive struggles have largely been due to a lack of variety in their system.

"Having good variety, having a good mix of what we're asking him to do in different known passing situations right there," Waldron said when asked what he needed to do to help Williams.

"Obviously, having the run game come to life in some of those scenarios as well and really being able to mix and match and play with some variety."

However, despite Williams' struggles, Waldron still has optimism about their number one pick.

"I think all of that will (be) what are the breather plays throughout the plan, what are the chances for the ball-out plays, which I think he did a really good job this past week," Waldron added.

"You know, in all of the underneath completions, finding completions, playing clean, and then when the big-play opportunities happen, as we talked about earlier, then they come naturally throughout the course of the game."
