Fans React To Dallas Cowboys’ Biggest Home Loss In 36 Years On Jerry Jones’ 82nd Birthday

The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Detroit Lions 47-9 Sunday night, which was the biggest home loss for the team since 1988 (43-3 vs. Minnesota Vikings). That is to say, this devastating blowout just so happened to come on team owner Jerry Jones' birthday.

In view of the game, quarterback Dak Prescott had his worst outing of the season, throwing for 178 yards (17-for-33) and two interceptions, without a touchdown.

On the other hand, Lions QB Jared Goff had 315 passing yards (18-for-25) and three touchdowns.

Ultimately, it was pure dominance from start to finish, as they even drew up a couple trick plays on their way to victory.

As a result of the home team's lackluster performance, boos rang all throughout AT&T Stadium during the game.

It's safe to say the Cowboys fans didn't take the loss too well, as they were even seen throwing up in the stadium after witnessing what they saw on the field.

All in all, it wasn't all celebrations for Detroit either, as star defensive end/NFL sack leader Aiden Hutchinson suffered a broken tibia.

"He's a guy who's part of the heartbeat of this team, he's a leader, does everything right," Goff said about his teammate. "And to have him go down like that, and be visibly upset is tough for all of us. But knowing him, he will be fine. He will bounce back."

As for the Cowboys, they now have a 3-3 record and the team seems to be in disarray, losing three straight home games.

"I'm not a guy to hit the panic button," Prescott said during the postgame. "You never prepare for that or think that can happen the way it did today, here at home, again. Now dropping three at home, a place that we've been great."

To note, over the last four home games, dating back to last year's playoffs (48-32 loss to Packers), the Cowboys have allowed 167 points, which is the third-most in a four-game span at home in NFL history.
