Fans Rip Mahomes For Liking Post About Raiders Firing Pierce

Football is a team sport. But the NFL is a business, and ultimately somebody has to be the fall guy. Unfortunately for Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce, he was that guy for the Raiders and was let go by Las Vegas on Monday.

With the Raiders being bitter AFC West rivals with the Kansas City Chiefs, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes decided to add insult to injury. On Tuesday, the Chiefs star liked a post about Pierce being fired.

Fans on Twitter ripped Mahomes for liking the post.

"Mahomes was that scared of AP? Burrow I understand, but damn Patty. Grow some b***s," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Kermit still butthurt bout that ass beating on Christmas," another fan added.

Tom Brady Sounds off on Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs came into this season looking to do something no other team has done — with three Super Bowl titles in a row. To this point, they have undoubtedly been the best team in the league, and enter the postseason with a nearly perfect record of 15-2.

However, many experts have put Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl chances in limbo. Despite having the NFL's best record, there are teams who many believe are simply just more talented than Kansas City (e.g. the Detroit Lions,  and Baltimore Ravens), especially when they have been plagued with big injury losses as Rashee Rice.

But even with the Chiefs having a thin roster, NFL Legend Tom Brady still believes they are the Super Bowl favorite.

"You better believe they're going to stay at the top of my power rankings at number 1," Brady said.

"They continue to find ways to win close games. They've got that championship DNA, and they've got a new addition. De Andre Hopkins is looking like a great fit in this offense."
