Fans Slam NBC's Cris Collinsworth During Steelers, Cowboys Sunday Night Football

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys took center stage for the Week 5 edition of Sunday Night Football. Both teams had something to prove coming into the matchup. After a surprising win for the New York Giants over the Seahawks, the Cowboys could not afford to fall behind in the NFC East. And the Steelers were looking to redeem themselves after their first loss of the season.

Fans Slam Cris Collinsworth Over Sunday Night Football Analysis

But it was NBC's Cris Collinsworth who took center stage in the matchup. During the telecast fans went scorched earth on the NBC analyst, noting how fed up they were with his analysis of the game.

"I cannot stand Cris Collinsworth ugh," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"(Delayed) Weekly reminder that Cris Collinsworth f******g sucks," another fan added.

"Well, that didn't take long for Cris Collinsworth to start acting like an ass," another fan said.

Cowboys Coach Calls Out Steelers' Justin Fields

Over the past few seasons, the Steelers have become one of those teams that doesn't look sexy on paper, but once they hit the turf they prove to be as good as anybody. That has also proved to be the case this year.

Justin Fields was not even the Steelers' presumed starter heading into training camp. But an injury to Russell Wilson forced him into a starting role. To this point that has proven to be a blessing in disguise as the former Chicago Bear has them sitting firmly atop the NFC North.

Fields' resurgence has been one of the best stories of the NFL season to this point. But not everyone seems to be impressed with his comeback story. Earlier this year Cowboys' defensive coordinator and former Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer noted that Fields "hasn't done anything," to this point in his career. This was in response to Vikings' general manager.

Zimmer's comments are pretty ironic being that the Cowboys' defense hasn't done much this year either. They've allowed their opponents to score 28 or more points in three of their first four games this season.

It will be interesting to see how Fields responds in their marquee matchup against Dallas.
