Fans Rip Joe Buck For Analysis During Lions, 49ers Game
Even with the season winding down, fans could not focus on the game at hand. They were more concerned with ESPN Monday Night Football analyst Joe Buck. Fans went on social media and expressed their disappointment with Buck's analysis during the Monday Night Football telecast.
"Great we have to listen to the worst on earth Joe Buck," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Prefer not to have Troy Aikman and Joe Buck call Lions games. Many people of course love them, but for me it is a real downer for my experience," another fan added.
49ers John Lynch Gets Honest on Kyle Shanahan
The 49ers have been rocked by injuries this year. Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Brock Purdy have all missed time this year. And it eventually became too much for San Francisco to overcome as they have officially been eliminated from playoff contention in 2024.
The 49ers have had some of the more talented rosters in recent memory over the last few seasons. And yet it has not converted to them winning anything. As a result rumors have begun to swirl that Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan could be on the hot seat this offseason.
When asked about the Shanahan hot seat rumors this week, 49ers GM John Lynch referred to them as comical.
"I've found the whole discussion on Kyle rather comical. We have won four of the last five division championships. We've been to two Super Bowls. The standard here is to win championships, and we've fallen short of that, I understand," Lynch said.
"But we have an excellent head coach, and the fact that people are talking about stuff like that, I do find it comical. We're 100% behind Kyle and what he brings to our organization. Like I said, our focus is really on the Bears and doing everything we can. That's where Kyle's focus is, and that's where all our focus is."
